The Team:

The Continence and Urology team is a dynamic and supportive team, working closely with medical and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver advanced nursing care relating to Continence and Urology.

The Role:

The Continence and Urology role is supported by the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Continence and Urology who provides expert clinical advice and leadership in Continence and Urology nursing, coordinates patient care in the multidisciplinary team, supports and promotes an environment that nurtures teaching, quality improvement, risk mitigation and research within the Continence and Urology environment.

You will need

  1. Advanced level of knowledge and skills in Continence and Urology nursing, combined with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant professional governing body guidelines and standards.
  2. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, with evidence of effective working relationships as well as the ability to prevent and manage conflict.
  3. Ability to identify the learning needs of patients and staff in relation to Continence and Urology conditions and management and the skills to develop, deliver and evaluate education activities that will meet those needs.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 28 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications

Thorough assessment skills related to the management of continence and urological patients

Previous experience in caring for continence and urological patients
