About the role

Miller Mechanical Services' is seeking experienced Digger Fitters to join our team on a casual basis in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. As a Digger Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on excavators, dozers, haul trucks and other mining equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues

Repairing and rebuilding components and systems as required

Maintaining accurate records of work performed

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures

Collaborating with the wider maintenance team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

What we're looking for

Extensive experience as a Digger Fitter in the mining industry, with a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and repair

Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade

Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

A valid driver's licence and the ability to work in a remote location
