We are looking to build our community care team with a variety of experienced Carers/AINS's/Support Workers who are able to work regular and ongoing shifts with Nurse Next Door Sunbury.

Multiple positions are available: Sunbury, Romsey, Craigieburn, Greenvale, Keilor, Hillside, Melton

You will have qualifications in the caregiving sector, which may include a Certificate III in individual support (disability/aged), or Health Services (AIN).

You have a reliable vehicle and current drivers license+, and are willing to travel to client homes.

You will have good communication skills and be courteous and responsive when we contact you.

You will be flexible and available for a variety of short and long shifts

You have current experience in Caregiving/Support Work/AIN (highly desirable) and working with clients with complex physical needs.

You are a self led leader with the ability to take responsibility for your own behaviour & success, however you are also coachable to doing things the ‘Nurse Next Door’ way.

You must be able speak and write in English, however other languages will also be an asset!

You have the following current documentation to bring to your interview:

National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)

Working With Children Check (WWCC - for paid work)

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion

NDIS Worker Screener

First Aid and CPR Certificate

Qualifications

What your Job Responsibilities will be:

Provision of skilled and quality in-home caregiving:

Personal Care

Manual Handling (including wheelchair transfers, variety of lifting machines including sling hoist, sit to stand lifter etc).

Mealtime assistance

Catheter/Bowel/PEG tube care

Companionship

Medication Administration

Light Housekeeping

Assisting clients to access the community

Running errands for clients

You must be willing to undertake and complete our mandatory internal e-learning and competency programs in the timeframe allocated to you.

You must be confident in detecting and reporting any concerns to your clinical manager.

You must be willing to think outside the box and find those gems that will make your clients life better.
