Payroll Officer – Local Government Opportunity

Location: Inner Suburbs | Hybrid Work Arrangement
Contract: 6-Month Temporary | ASAP Start
Salary: $46 per hour + Super | 38 Hours per Week

We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our client, a well-established local council dedicated to delivering high-quality services to the community. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Preparing and processing fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Managing personnel entitlements, allowances, and deductions.
• Coordinating payments to superannuation funds and long service leave transfers.
• Assisting in the maintenance of the payroll system to ensure data integrity.

About You

• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, ideally within Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Education, or Healthcare.
• Proficiency in payroll systems; experience with PayGlobal highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
