About the role

We are seeking Catering Assistants to join our modern kitchen team at our client’s 144 bed aged care facility located in Tamworth, NSW.

This is the perfect opportunity for an industry professional and ‘self-starter’ to join our group at a state-of-the-art aged care facility.

Monday to Sunday shifts from 3.00pm till 8.00pm.

Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.

* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one.

Skills and experience

Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.

Reliable and punctual

Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.

Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.

The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Providing meal service to elderly residents

Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.

Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents

Washing dishes and plating of meals

Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen

Function set up and clear down.

Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
