About the role

We’re searching for a reliable and experienced Landscaping Tradesman to join our

growing team. You’ll be working on a variety of designer residential landscape construction

projects, retaining walls, pool surrounds, and softscapes.

No two days are ever the same, and we guarantee you’ll be challenged and

rewarded in equal measure.

Our work is primarily based in the Newcastle and Hunter regions, with occasional travel or

overnight stays.

This role will eventually transition into a leading hand role where you will be responsible for

running your own projects and crew.

What you'll be doing

Read and interpret plans and site drawings

Perform a variety of hard and soft landscaping tasks

Block, concrete sleeper and sandstone retaining walls

Decking, paving, drainage and turfing

Garden preparation and planting

Operate machinery and use power tools safely and effectively

Communicate clearly with team members and clients

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe job site

Represent MJM Landscapes with professionalism on and off the tools

What we're looking for

✔ Proven experience in landscape construction

✔ Current NSW Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

✔ White Card

✔ Strong work ethic, attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

✔ Punctual, reliable and a clear communicator

✔ Experience operating machinery (e.g., skid steer, excavator) is a bonus

✔ Certificate III in Landscape Construction
