About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at Woods Accounting & Tax Pty Ltd in Norwest, NSW. This full-time role will see you taking on a variety of accounting and tax-related responsibilities, providing high-quality financial services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting documents for individual and business clients

Providing expert advice and recommendations to clients on tax planning, compliance, and financial management

Collaborating with the team to identify opportunities for improved processes and efficiencies

Maintaining detailed records and ensuring all client work is completed accurately and within deadlines

Assisting with the implementation of new accounting software and technologies

Mentoring and supporting junior team members as required

What we're looking for

5+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar accounting or tax advisory role

Strong technical skills in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation and regulations

Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner

Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines, with a keen eye for detail

A proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional client service

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a current CPA or CA designation or study towards same.
