The annual scholarship round is now open, offering scholarships across a wide variety of disciplines and research topics, with funding starting in 2026.
QUT is committed to fostering research excellence by supporting applicants with strong research potential by providing a living stipend and tuition fee sponsorship/offset throughout their studies.
About this opportunity
QUT research degrees present a fantastic opportunity for individuals aiming to pursue their passions, make a meaningful impact on the world or broaden their career prospects.
To assist with costs of living throughout their studies, research applicants can apply for a scholarship as part of their admission process, with applications open until 31 July for international students and 31 August for domestic students.

Eligibility and application criteria
You need to meet the entry requirements for a QUT research degree, including any English language requirements at time of application.
Enrol as a full-time, internal student (unless approval for part-time and/or external study is obtained).
You must commence your studies no later than 31 July 2026 (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis).
Submit an expression of interest (EOI) following the advice at How to apply for a research degree.
