About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Assistant to join our vital warehouse team at our Molendinar facility. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stability and consistent hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (38 hours per week).

In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispatch of essential medical supplies to hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers nationwide. Your diligence directly contributes to Medstock fulfilling its mission and supporting positive patient outcomes – you'll be playing a key part in the healthcare supply chain. You will work within a supportive team environment but must also be capable of working effectively independently in our fast-paced warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will encompass a range of warehousing tasks, including:

Order Fulfilment & Despatch:

Receiving picking instructions via digital and printed paperwork and accurately interpreting order lists (using Cin7 Core).

Selecting correct items, meticulously verifying quantities, sizes, product codes and expiry dates.

Checking items for any defects, damage or incorrect labelling prior to despatch.

Picking and packing diverse customer orders (both small and large) efficiently and securely.

Choosing appropriate packaging materials (e.g., boxes, air pillows, etc) based on item fragility and transport requirements.

Preparing orders for despatch, including assisting with courier booking processes and ensuring accurate consignment information and adherence to any specific shipping instructions for various carriers (e.g., StarTrack, Toll Global Express, AusPost, Sendle, DHL, Aramex).

Stock Management:

Accurately putting away incoming stock and replenishing picking locations.

Conducting stock audits and participating in inventory management processes to maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy.

Quality & Safety:

Actively participating in quality control procedures, ensuring only high-quality, compliant products are shipped.

Strictly adhering to all workplace health and safety guidelines and protocols, contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and the team.

Warehouse Operations:

Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers.

Supporting the broader warehouse team with general duties as required.

Maintaining warehouse organisation, tidiness and cleanliness through regular housekeeping.

Assisting with the preparation of accurate documentation for shipments internationally.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Attributes:

A current Forklift Licence (LF).

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential.

Must be physically fit and energetic, capable of sustained manual handling and lifting.

Highly reliable and punctual with a proven strong work ethic.

A positive, enthusiastic, and 'can-do' attitude.

Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work autonomously.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to pick and pack accurately, maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Good computer literacy for system interaction.

The ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
