The Role: Full-Time Youth Worker As a Youth Worker at Kalyan, you’ll be more than an employee—you’ll be a beacon of hope. Your mission? To empower our residents, helping them overcome adversity and find their path toward stability. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Be a Listener: Sit down with a cup of tea, lend an empathetic ear, and listen to their stories. Sometimes, that’s all they need.
• Advocate: Be their voice when they feel unheard. Navigate the system, fight for their rights, and ensure they get the support they deserve.
• Life Skills Guru: Teach practical life skills—budgeting, cooking, job hunting, and self-care. Show them that they’re capable of more than they realize.
• Creative Problem Solver: When life throws curveballs, you’ll be there to help them dodge or catch them. Whether it’s finding housing, dealing with trauma, or building resilience, you’ll find solutions.
• Build Connections: Organize movie nights, art workshops, and group outings. Create a sense of belonging and remind them that they’re not alone.
• Celebrate Progress: From small victories to major milestones, cheer them on. Every step forward matters.

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field. If you don’t have them, we will help you achieve them
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Driver’s license (preferred).
