The Job

Reporting to the Recoveries Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting recovery action on both active and written-off accounts, including customer follow-ups, negotiating repayments, and initiating legal proceedings where appropriate
  • Liaising with solicitors, liquidators, and repossession agents to determine the best course of legal action and manage repossessed asset sales
  • Ensuring full compliance with credit risk policies, relevant legislation, and internal company guidelines
  • Achieving team KPIs including cash collection targets, call quality, and overall recovery performance
  • Identifying high-risk accounts such as potential fraud or loss, escalating appropriately, and contributing to policy improvement
  • Building strong internal relationships, particularly with the Asset Finance team, while maintaining a customer-focused approach to all recovery activity


You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a recoveries or paralegal role within asset finance
  • Proven experience engaging with auction houses, panel solicitors, and other key external stakeholders to support recovery processes.
  • A strong understanding of relevant financial regulations and industry guidelines (e.g., NCCP, AFCA)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to customer contact
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
