About us:
Community Services #1 is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people and families in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions. With over 200 employees and volunteers, we deliver programs that address community needs and foster a sense of belonging.
As we continue to grow our services, we also continue to grow our team. We are looking for casual Out of Hospital Care Workers that will be based out of Young area to help provide care and support for clients in and around those regions.
The Team provides support and care to maximise our clients’ quality of life and enable them to live independently. As a member of the team, you will provide these services under our Out of Hospital Care program. Out of Hospital Care NSW – Community Services 1.
About the Role:
Out of Hospital Home Care Worker
Domestic Assistance (including but not limited to cleaning, laundry, transportation, shopping and preparing meals)
Supervising or assisting with daily hygiene, such as showering or bathing
Mobility support
Maintaining and monitoring the client’s plan, including documentation and progress note keeping
Positively representing the team through professional and effective communication and liaison with clients, families and relevant professionals
Maintaining privacy and dignity for the client and have respectful interactions.
In this role, employees will complete shifts with clients between 7.00am to 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday. The role does not involve overnight stays, evening shifts or weekends.
About you:
To be considered for this role you will ideally have experience in Community Services, Individual Support and a genuine interest in empowering individual independence.
A certificate 3 in community services or individual support is highly desirable.
You will be required to have or willing to obtain:
Working with Children’s Check
National Police Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Driver's License and Own Car
Comprehensive Car Insurance
What we offer:
Casual hourly rate from $39.55 – $40.84 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, where shifts are not regular or ongoing
