The Role
We’re on the lookout for value-aligned Speech Pathologists- both experienced and early career- who are passionate about working with children and families.

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available, with flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career stage. We’re currently recruiting:

· Experienced Clinicians (2+ years post-grad)

· New Graduates (eligible for our Graduate and Grow program)

Our Graduate and Grow program includes reduced caseload expectations, a dedicated clinical lead, weekly supervision, tailored professional development, and connection with other new grads.

Our Centres

Our Centres are a well-resourced spaces with so much to offer team members and the families we work with.

Located conveniently in Adamstown (on Brunker Rd) and in Warners Bay (on Hillsborough Rd), our Centres could be your home away from home with:

· Quality resources, tools and toys to support the delivery of excellent speech pathology services

· Administration support provided by dedicated Client Experience Officers (CEOs)

· Kitchen facilities, including a coffee machine

· Resourced therapy rooms

What You Need (Selection Criteria):

· Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP status desirable)

· Post-graduate experience working with children and families (if not applying for a position within our Graduate and Grow program)

· Ability to work flexibly and independently within different service delivery models and across different locations

· Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice

· Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and set priorities in complex situations

· Evidence of ability to work in a team and build and maintain cooperative professional and therapeutic relationships

· A passion for working with children with diverse needs and from varying backgrounds

· An interest in connecting with the broader community and growing awareness of the speech pathology profession

· Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to suit the target audience

· Cleared Police Check within the last twelve months

· Current Working with Children's check (WWCC)

· A current driver's licence and use of own vehicle

Your Duties:

· Provide paediatric speech pathology services to assess, diagnose and support clients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties

· Ensure delivery of innovative clinical practice models using a range of therapeutic techniques

· Provide speech pathology services using a range of different service delivery models (including groups) and across different locations

· Provide evidence-based best practice paediatric clinical care within professional boundaries, legal and ethical parameters and A Growing Understanding’s policies and procedures

· Participate in team projects and programs involving education, community development/ planning and delivery of promotional activities

· Participate in planning, implementing and evaluating quality improvement, research, service delivery and other projects to ensure optimum service delivery

· Model and actively promote workplace behaviour that reflects the values and service charter of A Growing Understanding and maintain standards and ethics as identified by the professional body Speech Pathology Australia

· Ensure that engagement with team members, clients and families is conducted in a manner that demonstrates the values of cultural respect
