Position: Fish Filleter/Customer Service Staff Member

Location: Hamilton, Brisbane, QLD

Job Type: Casual or part-time, with a roster over 7 days a week

Working Hours: 8am - 6pm (flexibility required for additional hours during peak seasons)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented and experienced Fish Filleter/Customer Service All Rounder to join Samies Seafood in Hamilton, QLD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filleting a variety of fresh seafood while delivering exceptional customer service to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Expertly fillet and prepare various types of seafood with precision and care, adhering to quality standards and health regulations.

- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper storage and handling of seafood products.

- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections, offering advice on preparation and cooking methods, and addressing inquiries or concerns.

- Ensure accurate pricing, weighing, and packaging of seafood products for customers.

- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.

- Assist in stock management, including restocking displays and monitoring product freshness.

- Uphold food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in seafood filleting and preparation techniques.

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.

- Knowledge of various seafood types, their characteristics, and proper handling.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to peak periods, including holidays and weekends.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle moderate to heavy loads.
