We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our team to oversee the activities at Council's Mangoplah & Uranquinty Rural Transfer Centre. If you enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit and have an interest in waste and recycling, then this is the role for you!
- Permanent, Part-Time.
- Remuneration of $856.49 gross per fortnight + superannuation (based on part time hours of work and including penalty loading).
- Mangoplah - Sunday: 9.00am – 12.00pm (3 hours per week).
- Uranquinty - Wednesday: 8.00am – 11.45am & Sunday: 1.00pm – 4.45pm (7.5 hours per week).
- Location: Mangoplah, 211 Holbrook Road & Uranquinty, 180 Connorton Street.
Your new role:
As the Rural Landfill Attendant (Humula) you will be responsible for:
- Managing the disposal of domestic waste;
- Inspecting loads to ensure compliance with disposal policies;
- Processing payments and charges for waste disposal activities; and
- Site safety and security.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for someone with:
- Great communication and customer service skills;
- An ability to work independently;
- Current Class C Driver's Licence; and
- Construction Induction Certificate (White) (desired not essential).
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus and will be asked to provide evidence of this.
