Senior Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in consultancy and a keen understanding of the insurance sector? We are seeking a results-driven professional with loss adjustment experience to join a high-performing team operating at the intersection of construction and insurance. Preferably with experience more in the built environment such as (retail, light industrial, commercial, offices, public sector buildings, etc.).

The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in the financial management of construction projects, both pre- and post-contract. You'll be entrusted with managing around 30 jobs annually, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and within budget. Based in North Sydney, this role offers flexible working arrangements including work-from-home options.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-spectrum quantity surveying across commercial projects ($100K–$10M)
• Pre- and post-contract management within the insurance sector
• Client liaison and stakeholder engagement
• Mentor and support junior/cadet surveyors
• Contribute to business development initiatives

What You Bring:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Chartered membership with RICS and/or AIQS
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in a PQS consultancy
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and CostX (or similar estimating software)
• Demonstrated experience in construction loss adjustment
• Excellent communication, analytical, and autonomous working style

Package:$170,000 – $210,000 base + Superannuation
