Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to manage the pickup and delivery of materials and finished goods between our warehouse and client locations. This role is ideal for individuals committed to safe driving practices, effective load management, and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manoeuvre vehicles into the correct position to facilitate safe and efficient loading and unloading.
Operate lifting and tipping devices to load and unload goods as required.
Adhere to all safety protocols during the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it remains roadworthy and safe to operate.
Estimate cargo weights to comply with legal load limitations and maintain balanced weight distribution.
Ensure that all goods are properly stowed and securely covered to prevent movement, loss, or damage during transit.
Verify documentation related to loading activities, inspect the condition of goods, and obtain delivery confirmations.
Record and report vehicle maintenance needs and delivery details accurately and promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field .
Current and valid Australian driver’s license appropriate for the truck operated.
Minimum of 1 year of professional truck driving experience, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, or construction sectors.
Good understanding of vehicle safety, loading protocols, and transport regulations.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain strong safety standards.
High attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
