About Trader House:

Trader House is a collective of restaurants, bars, and specialty retail stores by Melbourne-based chef, cookbook author and columnist Andrew McConnell and photographer Jo McGann. They are Gimlet at Cavendish House, Apollo Inn, Cutler, Supernormal, Cumulus Inc., Marion, Builders Arms Hotel, Bar Miette, Meatsmith Heritage Butcher and Morning Market.

Supernormal Brisbane and Bar Miette are the first venues for Trader House outside of our Melbourne home. Newly opened in July 2024, the venues are beautiful, light-filled spaces with glass and open air frontage to make the most of the incredible riverfront location. Situated within a ground-breaking, eco-progressive and Green Star certified building at 443 Queen Street created for the Brisbane climate.

Bar Miette, A breezy indoor-outdoor European inspired bar features a charming terrace for relaxed dining - from morning coffee and breakfast to elegant, composed salads, seafood, and charcuterie at lunchtime. The evening offering is rounded out by classic cocktails, and an extensive wine list.

Supernormal Brisbane's menu features classics from its Melbourne counterpart, alongside new dishes that explore local produce and connect with Queensland’s farmers, fishers and foragers.

About the roles

We're searching for experienced section waiters who can lead the guest experience in a full table service environment. These positions are crucial in driving the dining experience for our guests, sharing the best of the kitchen, bar and cellar with poise and professionalism.

Ideal candidates will have experience working within a high-quality venue, with in depth knowledge of food and wine.
