The Company
Our client is a respected not-for-profit and registered training organisation delivering high-impact vocational education and training to the Aboriginal community health sector in Victoria. As a long-standing advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, they support 33 member organisations with culturally safe and empowering education solutions.
The Role
We’re seeking experienced Trainers to deliver across the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) qualifications, drawn from the Community Services Training Package. These programs include Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD), and Counselling.
Trainers with the capability to deliver across multiple qualifications are highly desirable.
This is a 24-month contract with sessional delivery, and hybrid work arrangements may be offered based on program and location needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and assess nationally recognised training in SEWB-related fields
- Deliver engaging and culturally responsive workshops and simulations
- Adapt and contextualise learning resources to meet student and employer needs
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement processes
- Ensure all training and assessment practices meet ASQA and funding requirements
About You

- Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD)
- Counselling
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Hold qualifications at Diploma level or above in one or more of the following:
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant industry experience
- Skilled in delivering culturally safe and inclusive training
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and health (highly regarded)
