About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Toolmaker / Machinist to join our close-knit team at our modern Cheltenham facility. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who thrives on precision, variety, and solving engineering challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
Precision Tooling – Manufacture components to exact specifications, consistently delivering high-quality finishes and tight tolerances.
Machining Excellence – Operate and program CNC machines for a wide range of tooling and die applications.
Tool and Die Creation – Build, maintain, and repair tools, dies, and fixtures that keep our production sharp and efficient.
CAD/CAM Modelling – Develop models and programs from scratch or based on client requirements using CAD/CAM software.
Reverse Engineering – Create models and machining strategies from existing parts where drawings are unavailable, working closely with clients and engineers.
Technical Interpretation – Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide tooling and machining processes with confidence.
Testing & Validation – Inspect, test, and refine components to ensure they meet stringent performance standards.
Collaboration – Work with internal teams and external customers to develop practical solutions to complex manufacturing needs.
What We’re Looking For
Fully qualified Toolmaker / Machinist with at least 5 years’ experience in precision manufacturing.
Strong skills in CNC programming and CAD/CAM, with the ability to produce exceptional quality work.
A thorough understanding of quality control, tolerancing, and the importance of getting it right the first time.
Skilled problem-solver who takes pride in their craft and stays calm under pressure.
Someone who enjoys both autonomous project work and team collaboration.
