Remuneration: $114,173 – $123,335 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
This position with NSW Health ECAV offers an opportunity to lead sexual assault workforce development. The Educator plays a strategic role in shaping training, policy, and service delivery across NSW in the prevention of and response to violence, abuse and neglect.
- Lead and design trauma-informed, anti-racist sexual assault training programs.
- Monitor workforce needs and ensure evidence-based best practice training.
- Collaborate on curriculum and maintain quality assurance across ECAV programs.
- Provide expert advice on frameworks, policies and models of care.
- Engage with stakeholders, networks and communities of practice state-wide.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications including Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Science or equivalent, and a Certificate IV in Training and Education (TAE) (or willingness to work towards this), and relevant experience in NSW Health Sexual Assault and/or Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) Health services or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Health service delivery in response to sexual assault and child protection, including understanding of the legislation, NSW Health and other government policies and legal issues surrounding (adult and child) sexual assault, child protection, problematic and harmful sexual behaviours (PHSB) and Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) matters.
- Demonstrated understanding of the socio-political context and dynamics (including coercive control and grooming) and impacts of violence, abuse, and neglect (VAN) within the context of ongoing colonisation and intersections across Aboriginal communities, migrant and refugee communities, LGBTIQ+ communities and people living with disability and/or mental illness.
- Sound understanding of adult education theory and workforce capacity building; proven ability to critically analyse emerging issues and practice trends, applying this to the development and delivery of high-quality training programs and resources.
- Demonstrated understanding of cultural safety, humility and responsiveness and the ability to apply and promote culturally safe practices in all aspects of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, capacity to reflect and take responsibility for self, with experience building productive respectful working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team; effective organisational and time management skills including proven experience meeting deadlines and competency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams, Zoom and PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to learn new record management systems and/or platforms including Office 365.
- Willingness to travel within NSW and holds a current driver’s license valid in NSW.
