The Role

Surveillance and Control System Program Office (S&CSPO), based at RAAF Base Williamtown has an opportunity for an Air Battlespace Management (ABM) Project Support Officer to join their team. Operating in an integrated environment comprising of Military, Australian Public Servants and Industry Partners, the role is responsible for the high quality administrative and operational support to the business management and capability delivery teams to ensure the successful delivery of products.

The role requires excellent communication and coordination skills, as well as a strong acumen for administrative activities, document control and preparation of project plans, reports and briefs. You will be working closely with the executive team to support product delivery through the coordination of executive forums, audits, and briefings whilst developing and maintaining business artefacts.

About our Team

The Air Battlespace Management Enterprise (ABME) is an established partnership model between Defence and Industry (Surveillance and Control System Program Office, Surveillance and Response Group, Boeing Defence Australia, Lockheed Martin Australia, and Daronmont Technologies). Within the ABME we are responsible for governance oversight to Industry Partners by contributing to various technical, engineering and project management activities, including capability delivery and system integration management.

The Project Support Officer will work within the ABME team at RAAF Base Williamtown and will be interacting with staff across Industry and Defence to support the delivery of integrated Air Battle Management capability

Our Ideal Candidate

S&CSPO is a fast-paced, integrated and dynamic environment where the Project Support Officer is integral to the administration and coordination of project deliverables in a cost effective and efficient manner that meet the Capability Manager’s needs.

The successful candidate will have a high level of organisational, coordination and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure with limited resources. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are also required in order to engage with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to achieve the required outcomes for Defence.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who has had experience supporting executive teams, schedule management activities, document management, development and coordination of project and business artefacts, whilst also managing priorities and deadlines within an integrated workforce. The candidate needs to be motivated and willing to take on new challenges, whilst identifying process improvements.
