The Lecturer – TAE & VET Pathways provides critical support in the development and delivery of culturally responsive VET programs for First Nations learners.

About the Position
As the Lecturer – TAE & VET Pathways, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of culturally responsive Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, with a particular focus on the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and pathways for First Nations learners.
This position supports the First Nation Teacher Education Hub’s commitment to strengthening First Nations leadership in education by embedding Indigenous knowledges and pedagogies in VET training and teacher education programs.

The Lecturer will contribute to the co-design of learning and assessment resources, engage in research-informed teaching, and provide mentoring and capacity-building opportunities for First Nations educators and learners.

About You (Selection Criteria)
To be successful, you will require:
• Qualifications in Education and VET TAE40122.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering and assessing TAE40122 (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or other relevant VET qualifications.
• A strong understanding of First Nations perspectives, pedagogies, and community engagement principles in education and the VET Sector.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver culturally responsive curriculum and assessment materials in VET and education.
• Experience working with First Nations learners, communities, and education stakeholders to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and mentoring skills to support First Nations educators and emerging leaders.
• Experience in developing and managing digital learning resources, including web-based platforms, for education and training purposes.
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote and regional locations as required to deliver training and support learners.

DESIRABLE
• Experience in co-designing curriculum and resources with First Nations educators and communities.
• Knowledge of ASQA compliance requirements and best practices in VET delivery.
• Demonstrated experience in using innovative and flexible teaching methods, including digital learning platforms and blended delivery models

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level B. The base salary will be in the range of $112,710 - $133,262 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $131,870 - $155,916 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
