Job Summary

As an Area Sales Manager at EmuTel, you will oversee a substantial customer portfolio, focusing on account management, upselling services, and generating new business opportunities. You’ll leverage your expertise to grow revenue within your territory while collaborating with sales support staff and an appointment setter to streamline operations. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, hands-on sales, and leadership to drive both personal and team success.

Key Responsibilities
Account Management and Sales Growth

Manage and grow a large customer base through proactive account management, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell EmuTel’s full suite of products and services.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets for your territory.

Generate your own leads through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach, while also capitalizing on leads and appointments provided by the appointment setter team.

Conduct high-level meetings with key decision-makers to negotiate contracts and close complex sales opportunities.

Analyze customer carrier bills to recommend tailored solutions, maximizing value for clients and revenue for EmuTel.

Team Collaboration and Support

Work closely with sales support staff to ensure seamless execution of paperwork, proposals, and product installations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Collaborate with the broader sales team to share best practices and contribute to company-wide sales strategies.

Performance and Reporting

Meet and exceed KPIs, including revenue targets, customer retention, and new business acquisition.

Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools.

Monitor customer satisfaction and address escalated issues to maintain strong client relationships.

Customer Service and Relationship Building

Maintain a high level of professionalism, acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts.

Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure loyalty and repeat business.

Ensure smooth handover of installations and post-sale support to maintain customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven track record in B2B sales, with at least 2 years of experience in a sales or account management role.

Strong ability to manage and grow a large customer base, with expertise in upselling and cross-selling.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute territory sales plans.

Proficient in CRM tools and sales reporting.

Deep understanding of technology products and services (training on EmuTel’s offerings provided).

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with support teams.
