At Westside Christian College, our Bus Drivers are an integral part of the College team, fulfilling a role that is critical to the safe and reliable transportation of our students and staff to and from the College.
With students attending Westside Christian College from all over Ipswich and surrounding areas, we have developed a private bus service, featuring light and medium rigid buses.
We are currently seeking competent drivers who are people focused, reliable and suitably qualified to join our outstanding team of Bus Drivers to commence as soon as possible.
This is an ongoing casual position with Bus Drivers required to operate College buses during scheduled morning and/or afternoon bus runs, Monday to Friday during term time. Morning shifts commence from 6:00 am and afternoon shifts from 2:00 pm. Shifts are no less than two-hours in duration, a total of 20 hours per week (40 hours per fortnight) of work is available for successful candidates.
On occasion, Bus Drivers are required to fulfil additional transport duties for College excursions and off-campus activities.
Given the timing of shifts, this position is a fantastic opportunity for people looking for part-time work or additional hours to supplement their income.

- Casual hourly rate of between $37.37 - $38.43 per hour, as set out in the Westside Christian College Enterprise Agreement 2022

The successful applicant will have:
- Have a personal alignment with, and commitment to the Mission and Vision of Westside Christian College
- Good communication skills
- A current Light Rigid (LR) Class Drivers Licence as a minimum (a Medium Rigid licence is preferred; however, we can assist suitable candidates obtain this)
- Able to obtain an Industry Authority from the Queensland Department of Transport
- Able to obtain a Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
- A safe driving record.
