Join Our Team as a Support Worker on the Sunshine Coast!

Are you ready to make a real difference in someone's life while enjoying a dynamic and supportive environment? We're on the lookout for a superstar Support Worker to join our team and assist an amazing Client on the beautiful Sunshine Coast!

About the role: Every day is an adventure! You'll need to be flexible and adaptable as the Client's environment and support needs can change daily. Your responsibilities will include:

Adjusting to different sensory preferences (think: dark house, no noise, lots of noise, music, no music)

Assisting with medication

Helping with daily tasks like online shopping and meal prep

Our Client is a dynamic individual with autism, ADHD, lymphedema, and lipedema. She wears specialised compression garments daily to manage her condition and is candid about her mental health journey, including her diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. It is essential to be highly perceptive and responsive to her needs each day.

What we're Looking For:

Autism, ADHD, and Mental Health experience

Experience with Neurodiverse Individuals: Comfortable supporting our Client, who is also a supermum raising a young child with similar needs.

Pet Lover: Must be cool with working in a home with a dog and cat.

Patience and Kindness: Clear and effective communication is key.

Mobility Knowledge: Understanding of lymphedema and lipedema is a plus.

Tech Enthusiast: Experience using tools like Google Drive and communication apps will help you shine.

Shift times include:

Weekly -

Monday 1500-1800

Tuesday 0600-0900

Wednesday 0600-0900

Fortnightly -

Tuesday 1500-1800

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $34.45, Evening $37.00, Night $38.00, Saturday $47.00, Sunday $60.50, Public Holidays $73.80 - (sorry, rate not negotiable).

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs

Provide support to our Clients as required

Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

Resonate with the role description above

Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives

Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card

Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
