Location: Howrah, Tasmania | Supporting Southern Support School
Are you passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and looking for meaningful, flexible work? We’re looking for caring, reliable Bus Attendants to travel with students on school buses and supervise students with disabilities whilst they travel to and from school.
This is a rewarding opportunity ideal for support workers, disability workers, and teacher assistants seeking extra hours in the early mornings and afternoons.
What You’ll Do:
Assist students with disabilities during bus transport to ensure a safe and supportive journey
Provide hands-on support (after transport safety training) with getting on and off the bus
Create a positive and caring environment for all passengers
Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, and families
Shifts Available:
Early morning (before school) and afternoon (at the end of the school day)
Part-time hours to suit your lifestyle
What You’ll Need:
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Registration – issued in Tasmania (essential)
Current First Aid certificate (essential)
Safeguarding training (essential - online training can be arranged through the school)
Midazolam (Midaz) training (beneficial)
KidSafe or equivalent transport safety training (beneficial and can be arranged through the school)
