Elcies Disability Care (EDC), part of Lutheran Care, provides services to clients with disabilities who are in receipt of an NDIS plan. We offer person-centred, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to a broad range of age groups and presentations with complex needs. EDC provides opportunities for PBS practitioners to build their caseload portfolio, receive regular clinical supervision, and progress along the NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner Capability Framework.
About the Role:
As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
- Support children and adults with disabilities to achieve their goals by increasing quality of life and reducing or eliminating restrictive practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans based on functional behaviour assessments.
- Mentor and support junior and developing PBS practitioners.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver best-practice support.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the PBS team through training, supervision, and innovation.
- Represent Lutheran Care in external forums and build strategic partnerships.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
Essential Criteria:
- Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Proficient or above).
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Social Work, Developmental Education, or a related field.
- Experience in developing and implementing PBS plans and conducting functional behaviour assessments.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
- NDIS registered ‘Suitable’ PBS Practitioner – endorsed as proficient.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and experience working towards NDIS plan goals.
- Ability to manage a caseload, meet billable targets, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable:
- Experience in academic or research partnerships.
- Ability to integrate best-practice research into service delivery.
