We are seeking to appoint a casual Educator (Children’s Services Employee) at St Mary Mackillop Outside School Hours Care in Birkdale.
We provide before school care, after school care and vacation care to up to 90 children.
St Mary MacKillop OSHC has strong ties with several other OSHC services in the Redlands area. Kids from St Luke’s in Capalaba, Star of the Sea in Cleveland, and St Rita’s in Victoria Point often join us for vacation care with our friendly St Mary MacKillop OSHC community.
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting primary school aged children to grow and develop and are committed to seeing them learn and have fun in a happy and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
Job Requirements:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) would be preferred.
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment.
- Effective workplace communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the childcare industry practices.
