About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team at Alta Projects in the heart of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing various building and infrastructure projects and inspecting the construction of these projects. You would be working closely with a Senior Structural Engineer. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career development and growth within our organisation.

What you'll be doing

Conducting structural analyses and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of buildings and infrastructure

Directing and working closely with Alta drafting staff in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings and specifications

Collaborating with architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion

Inspecting construction works

Identifying and resolving any structural issues that may arise during the construction process

Staying up-to-date with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry best practices

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

At least 3 years of experience in a structural engineering consulting role or construction company

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound engineering decisions

Experience in using structural analysis programs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently

Willing to learn and take on new challenges
