About the role

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this full-time Assistant Financial Accountant position at ABC Tissue Products Pty Ltd in Wetherill Park, NSW is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Accountant in the day-to-day accounting operations of the business.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and processing daily fund transfer to maintain optimal cash balances

Reconciling various bank accounts on daily basis

Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes

Performing general accounting tasks such as journal entries and account analysis

Providing administrative support to the Finance team as required

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

1-2 years' experience in a similar assistant accountant or accounts payable/receivable role

Strong proficiency in accounting software

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
