About the role
Life Education NSW is seeking a casual driver to tow our mobile learning centres, to various locations in the Newcastle and Hunter area. This is an important role that supports our mission to educate children about making healthy choices. As our driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting our caravans to schools and events, ensuring they arrive on time and in good condition.
What you'll be doing
Safely towing our mobile learning centres to designated locations using the appropriate vehicle
Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mobile learning centres are in good working order
Maintaining accurate logs of driving activities and mobile learning centre whereabouts
Providing excellent customer service to school staff and event organisers
Adhering to all road rules and safety regulations
Assisting with minor maintenance and cleaning of the mobile learning centres as needed
What we're looking for
A valid driver's licence with a good driving record
Previous experience towing caravans or similar trailers
Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Flexible schedule to accommodate varying pickup and drop-off times outside of school hours
