About the Role:

We’re working with a large Aussie business that’s investing big in modernising its digital platforms. They’re after a seasoned engineer who’s not just solid on the tools, but confident contributing to architecture and setting technical direction. This is a permanent role based in Sydney with hybrid work, a solid team, and real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the design and build of smart, scalable systems across core platforms;
• Work closely with product and engineering leads to drive end-to-end delivery;
• Get involved in solution architecture and help shape how things are built;
• Solve real performance and security issues — not just business-as-usual; and
• Mentor devs, lift the bar on quality, and bring fresh thinking to the table.

Tech You’ll Be Working With:

• .NET Core, C#, SQL Server;
• Microsoft Azure (Functions, App Services, AKS, Service Bus, Event Hub);
• CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Octopus, Jenkins; and
• Docker, Kubernetes, Agile, DevSecOps.

What They’re Looking For:

• 8+ years' experience in software engineering, ideally in .NET and Azure;
• Strong design and architecture experience — you’ve shaped how systems are built;
• Proven background improving performance and system reliability;
• Someone who’s comfortable mentoring others and working across teams; and
• Down-to-earth communicator who gets stuff done.
