About the role

Due to continuing growth within the business we are seeking an experienced forklift operator/yard hand to join the team. There will opportunities for the right candidate to learn new skills, and achieve new qualifications thus increasing your earning capabilities.

This position, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, offers career progression opportunities through the transport, and freight forwarding arms of the business.

It is an exciting opportunity given the variety of products we are handling on a weekly basis, the successful candidate will need to be adaptable & reliable.

Skills and experience

Forklift Licence & minimum 1 year experience

HR or above would be favoured

Experience in a warehouse environment

A "Can do" attitude is essential

Load restraint experience would be preferred but not essential

Steel handling knowledge is favourable

Commitment to working safely but efficiently

Must be physically fit and healthy with ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing medical, drug & alcohol screening

Mechanically minded would be advantageous for pre start checks and basic material handling maintenance
