Our client is seeking an experienced Senior WHS Advisor initially until the end of July 2025. Our client plays a vital role in ensuring integrity, fairness, and accountability across Australian Government and select private sector services, while also contributing to systemic public administration improvements across Australia and the Pacific region.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior WHS and Wellbeing Advisor (APS6) to join their Human Resources team and contribute to a safer, healthier, and more supportive workplace. About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will provide expert case management of work health matters, deliver strategic WHS advice and help implement and enhance the Office’s WHS Management System (WHSMS). You’ll also have a hands on role in delivering a new wellbeing strategy and related activities that support our employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead case management for early intervention and workplace health matters in accordance with legislation and Office policies.
• Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, codes, and best practice to stakeholders at all levels.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of the WHSMS.
• Coordinate WHS compliance activities such as incident reporting, risk assessments, and Emergency Contact Officer oversight.
• Use data analysis to inform the development and evaluation of WHS and wellbeing initiatives.
• Support and coordinate wellbeing programs, including those delivered through our EAP provider.
• Draft high-quality correspondence, reports, plans and briefing materials for senior leadership.
• Assist with governance and operational tasks including procurement, records management, and HR administration.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled WHS and wellbeing professional with:

• A strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, frameworks, and practical application in the workplace.
• Experience in case management and delivering wellbeing initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to analyse data and provide strategic insights.
• Demonstrated initiative, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
