The Eastern Waste Management Authority (trading as East Waste) is a regional subsidiary of the Adelaide Hills Council, City of Burnside, Campbelltown City Council, City of Mitcham, City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, City of Prospect, City of Unley and the Corporation of the Town of Walkerville.
East Waste’s primary purpose is to provide efficient waste collection services on behalf of its Member Councils. East Waste is governed by a board and is administered in accordance with the Local Government Act, the Authority’s Charter, and various policies and codes.
About the role
East Waste is seeking suitably experienced and motivated Robotic Arm Collection Vehicle (RACV) Drivers to undertake kerbside waste collection services across East Waste's eight Adelaide metropolitan Council areas in a permanent full-time capacity.
As an RACV Operator, you will be required to collect household waste, recyclables and/or organics waste from designated routes and transport to designated disposal points as directed, in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

About You
Minimum 12-months experience driving heavy vehicles
Previous experience in waste collection operations or side arm experience highly desirable
Demonstrable superior knowledge of Australian road rules
Demonstrable ability to adapt to driving a left-hand drive vehicle
Competent communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised whilst completing allocated tasks competently and in a timely manner
Willingness to accept and act upon instructions and requests
Demonstrably effective time management skills
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
‘Can do’ attitude
Demonstrable ability to work in isolation whilst also contributing to positive team culture
Requirements
Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence
National Criminal Record (Police) Clearance
Pre-employment medical
Random drug & alcohol testing
