Cleansing Labourer / MR Driver

Employment Type: Casual with full-week hours - ongoing, leading to potential permanency
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:40am to 1:46pm
Pay Rate: $35/hr or $37/hr if operating a heavy waste vehicle

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Council Cleansing Labourer / MR Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our community and operating council vehicles as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleansing duties, including street sweeping, litter collection, and waste management.
• Operate medium rigid (MR) or heavy rigid (HR) vehicles for waste collection and transportation.
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely in accordance with council guidelines.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Requirements:

• Valid MR or HR licence.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
