The Lead/Principal Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role within our client’s engineering team, responsible for ensuring the achievement of project-specific discipline objectives, including timeframes, cost, and quality benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

Oversee structural engineering technical deliverables including specifications, calculations, designs, drawings, modelling etc

Ensure engineering decisions are based on accurate interpretation of technological possibilities with an informed understanding of the impact on costs, schedule, construction techniques and project risk

Risk management documentation, compliance and regulatory requirements with project and corporate requirements across engineering activities

Lead and mentor the structural engineering team

Build relationship with customers to discuss requirements, understand customer needs and apply technical solutions to meet goals

develop, coordinate, review, and issue engineering designs and documentation through all project phases (concept through construction) for mining infrastructure projects

Experience:

Civil/Structural Engineering Degree

Extensive experience in the engineering design or steel and concrete structures in a relevant industry, e.g, mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial

Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities

Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, particularly on projects such as process plant expansions, NPI facilities, dewatering infrastructure, and enabling works

Strong combination of structural engineering design skills along with project management skills and the ability to run a job by schedule and delivery.
