About Our Client
Join a global energy leader and help shape how major operations engage with local communities across Australia and New Zealand. This is your opportunity to drive real impact in a role that supports community trust, operational risk management, and sustainability.

About the Role
This is an initial 12-month contract opportunity, with strong potential for extension based on business needs.
You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional travel to operating sites and communities across the region as part of your engagement responsibilities.
As the Community Relations Advisor, you’ll lead the development and implementation of strategic outreach programs across multiple operating sites. Working across both Upstream and Product Solutions businesses, your work will directly support the organisation’s Operations Integrity Management Systems (OIMS 10-1 and 10-2) and help maintain its social licence to operate.
You’ll act as a key advisor to site teams, manage community investment programs, and build strong local networks to surface emerging issues and foster third-party advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement annual community outreach strategies for major sites and key projects
  • Support compliance by providing updates to the OIMS Management Committee and participating in assessments
  • Act as the first point of contact for community-related inquiries and issues across sites
  • Manage the community contributions program and budget, ensuring alignment with advocacy goals
  • Report on key impact metrics and contribution outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong local stakeholder relationships
  • Work with the Public and Government Affairs team to amplify community engagement efforts
  • Support community visits, outreach events, and volunteer initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Socioeconomics, Public Relations or related discipline
  • Experience in community relations or stakeholder engagement, ideally in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and advisory skills
  • Professional communication and reporting abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office

Why Apply?

  • Join a globally recognised industry leader with operations in Australia and New Zealand
  • Work in a strategic, high-impact role that supports safety, sustainability, and community trust
  • Flexible location – work remotely or from modern offices in Melbourne’s Docklands
  • Be part of a collaborative, values-driven team
  • Initial 12-month contract with strong potential for extension
