As our Student Services Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our diverse student body (both online and on-campus) and play a central role in enhancing their experience from orientation through to their graduation.

This is more than just a support role, it’s the heart of our student community. You’ll be able to mould the student experience by providing frontline support and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether it’s providing pastoral care, or connecting students to vital resources, your work will directly impact our student’s success

What you'll do

Be the face of the Perth campus by welcoming students, visitors, and stakeholders at our reception desk.

Coordinate orientation events, engagement workshops, and speaker sessions for both on-campus and online students.

Provide empathetic pastoral care, especially to international students adjusting to a new culture or struggling with wellbeing.

Collaborate across departments including admissions, academics, and marketing to ensure smooth student administration.

Support at-risk students through tracking and proactive check-ins in coordination with the Student Success Manager.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with institutional and visa-related policies.

Provide support with work rights, scheduling information sessions and student resource access.

Manage reception and general administrative duties and assist other teams as needed.

Work with our national Student Support team to ensure students are receiving a consistent and high quality experience at all of our campuses and online.

What you'll need to bring

A student first approach that is warm, supportive, and culturally sensitive

Curiosity, resilience, and a passion for helping others succeed.

A proactive self-learner who is detail-oriented, thrives under pressure and enjoys the challenge of ad-hoc tasks.

Strong work ethic and a desire to grow both professionally and personally - for the right person this role has the opportunity to grow into a team leadership role.

Experience & Skills

Minimum 2 years in student services or a client-facing role

Demonstrated experience supporting international students in Australia will be highly regarded as well as experience supporting online students.

Strong organisational and time-management skills

Exceptional verbal and written communication—able to confidently engage students, team members and higher level staff with ease.

Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and student management systems (we currently use Moodle, but experience with other learning systems will be helpful)

Comfortable working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Creative & Pro-active - willing to try new things to engage and support students and not afraid to fail and try again!
