BAT APMEA South Area has an exciting opportunity for an Area Commercial Finance Manager in based in Sydney.
The Area Commercial Finance Manager is a passionate professional who combines a finance background with commercial acumen and acts as a liaison between the Finance and Marketing functions. This role harnesses data and analytics tools to produce insights that enhance profitability, promote revenue growth, and ensure effective resource management.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Support the value creation agenda by driving analysis on pricing / promotions / mix management, as well as marketing spend effectiveness.
Standardization of models, KPI trackers, activity evaluation methods across the area.
Develop and present proposals for new launches and activities.
Drive cross-functional data integration aimed at generating insights to enable informed decisions.
Model scenarios and provide recommendations for optimal outcomes across activities and markets.
Ensure inputs for monthly meetings are provided timely and aligned across Area/Functions.
Lead all aspects of relevant internal governance requirements are followed in line with delegated authorities.
Ensure adherence to ways of working, processes and controls for areas under responsibility.
Leverage analytical tools improving effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams across end markets, area marketing, finance.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Degree or equivalent experience educated with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)
At least 4 years experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
Uses insight and foresight to drive decisions.
Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/BPC/Excel.
Broad experience in large global organisation with in-depth knowledge in specific FMCG process areas.
Strong influencing, leadership, and people skills.
Experience in strategic analysis and planning, execution, performance metrics, project evaluation, and a strong understanding of business dynamics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
