This is an exciting opportunity to lead the financial strategy and operations of a company with subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Indonesia. As the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organization, ensuring compliance, and driving financial excellence across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a crucial link between executive management and the finance team, overseeing financial planning, risk management, and ensuring the financial health of the company.

Provide oversight of project reporting, including costings, work-in-progress (WIP), and budget analysis. Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on variances and follow up with project leads.

Manage relationships and reporting with banks and financiers.

Oversee year-end and quarterly reporting, including the consolidation of subsidiary entities, and ensure timely month-end management reporting.

Ensure statutory reporting and compliance obligations are met, with a strong understanding of compliance and audit obligations in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Indonesia.

Manage group public liability insurance and indemnity insurance.

Liaise with auditors to ensure statutory obligations are met.

Review and approve reports for various Australian and Asian entities.

Oversee process improvement and automation of job reporting processes to enhance efficiency

Qualifications and Experience:

Over 15 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or Head of Finance role.

An Accounting degree and CPA or CA qualifications are required.

An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is desirable.

Extensive experience leading high-performing finance teams

Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Deep knowledge of financial management legislation, funding models and national and international trends

Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence and build organisational capability

Demonstrated experience in standardizing financial processes across multiple countries

The ability to manage a multinational company

Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS & Local GAAP) and Australian and Asian tax and audit compliance is desirable.

Preferred Knowledge:

• Understanding of tax treaties and double taxation agreements (DTA), withholding tax (WHT), GST/VAT compliance, and payroll taxes in Australia and Asia.
