About the role
Eastern Health is currently looking for passionate and experienced Social Workers to join our Allied Health teams in our bed-based care services.
This role provides service to bed-based wards across at our Box Hill Hospital. The role is supported by other Senior Social workers, as well as a dynamic Allied Health Department. This role will allow you to work across a variety of inpatient settings, with opportunities for professional development.
Classification based on years of experience.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously as required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent risk assessment skills
- The ability to lead complex discharge planning
- Conflict resolution skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
