About the role

Bishop's Bay Electrical and Security is looking for a Full-time Domestic + Commercial Electrical Fitter/Mechanic to join our growing team in Redland Bay, QLD. We are a proud family owned electrical business that focuses on excellence and honesty.

With majority of the work located on the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical installations, maintenance and repair work for both domestic and commercial customers.

What you'll be doing

Most work is electrical roughin + fitoff of new residential homes

Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial and industrial settings

Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues

Supervision of electrical apprentices

CCTV Installation and training

Splitsytem installations in new dwellings and existing residential homes

Interpreting electrical drawings and schematics

Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Communicating effectively with customers and reporting on progress

Maintaining a company vehicle and keeping it clean and well-stocked

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in electrical trade, such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Current CPR, LVR, General Induction Construction white card.

A current manual driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle to get to site

Your own basic tools and equipment

Significant experience as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, ideally with both domestic and commercial/industrial electrical work

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues

A positive and enthusiastic attitude to their craft

A commitment to safety and quality of work
