About the role

Are you a passionate trainer with experience in the mental health and community services sectors? We are seeking a skilled part-time Trainer/Assessor to join our team at Health Industry Training based in Aspley, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality training and assessment for our nationally recognised mental health and community services qualifications.

What you'll be doing

Effectively deliver training for a range of qualifications in mental health and community services

Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide constructive feedback to support student learning and development

Develop and update training and assessment materials to ensure currency and compliance with industry standards

Maintain detailed student records and provide timely reporting

Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve the quality of our training programs

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Relevant vocational qualifications in mental health, community services or a related field

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a trainer/assessor, preferably in the vocational education and training (VET) sector

Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of training and assessment for mental health and community services qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support a diverse range of students

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education and training
