About the role…
This opportunity sits in our specialist Registered Training Organisation - Breakthru College. As a national not-for-profit, Breakthru College is dedicated to empowering and upskilling students and industry professionals in the areas of mental health, unemployment, disability, and homelessness.

Due to the success of delivering our Certificate IV Mental Health program and increased community engagement regarding this certification, we are looking for a talented trainer based in Townsville to deliver and facilitate blended online and face to face training, in a group setting. Working in our Townsville 2 evenings per week plus online (from home or from our office) you will:
Facilitate learning through various instructional methods, including lectures, group discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
Conduct training assessments and ensure compliance with the training delivery.
Maintain effective classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records of learner progress, assessment results, and other relevant documentation.
To support the delivery of the course you will have all the necessary resources you need including: all course materials and guides, online learning management portal, centralised student administration support, marketing, and a fully operational office and space to facilitate sessions.
The hourly base rate on this role starts from $51.75 + Super + Royal Rewards pending experience.

To apply you must have training experience as well as:
Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification, or higher
Cert IV in Mental Health or higher
Mental health sector experience
Any experience in the Disability sector and understanding of the NDIS is highly desirable as is previous experience in the delivery of online and face-to-face training and group-based sessions.
