Fairview Village is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation located in Warragul, Victoria. We provide residential aged care, a retirement village, and Community Care services, including Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services. Our mission is to deliver person-centred care that enhances the quality of life for older Australians.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Home and Community Care to lead our community services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our Home and Community Care programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards, and driving continuous improvement to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for Home and Community Care services, including Independent Living, Home Care Packages, and CHSP.
Compliance & Quality: Ensure services meet all legislative and regulatory requirements, including the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation in consultation with the CEO and Finance Team.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with residents, clients, staff, and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure service excellence.
Workforce Development: Lead and support a high-performing team through regular communication, training, and performance management.
Service Innovation: Identify opportunities for service growth and innovation to meet the changing needs of the community.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Healthcare Management, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the health, community, or aged care sector.
Extensive experience in managing home care services, including knowledge of CHSP, Home Care Packages, and the Support at Home program.
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Retirement Villages Act 1986.
Proven ability to manage budgets, drive service innovation, and lead high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
