Role: Principal Power System Engineer
Salary: up to $220k + super + bonus
Location: Remote from Anywhere in Australia
This is a remote position.

This engineering & advisory firm is very forward thinking and offer this role from anywhere in Australia. Most of the team is based in their HQ in Melbourne and they have had great success in having some principal and senior engineers working remotely and travel to the HQ 4 times a year.

Key Responsibilities for the Principal Power System Engineer:

• Manage grid connection studies & grid connection modelling.
• Develop and maintain relationships with counterparts globally
• Manage development of models, performance of studies and assessments of results using psse, pscad, pss/sincal and/or digsilent.
• Provide technical supervision & mentoring a team of engineers
• Provide technical support to external stakeholders
• Stay updated on industry trends and NER technical rules.

Requirements for the Principal Power System Engineer:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 + years of experience in the industry
• Extensive knowledge of power systems in the transmission, distribution and/or renewable energy industry
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience
