Remuneration: $71,467 – $104,066 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
A rare opportunity for an Environmental Health professional to join the elite public health unit at the Centre for Population Health. The ideal candidate will confidently apply their skills to prepare and respond to a wide variety of public health issues and apply their environmental health speciality skills to new and emerging environmental exposures. Research opportunities, training and career development pathways are fostered. Key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and responding to environmental health hazards
- Enforcing public health legislation and regulations
- Liaising with government agencies and local councils
- Investigating complaints and conduct health surveys
- Support outbreak response and public health reporting

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Degree or equivalent qualifications in Environmental Health
Selection Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Environmental Health.
- Detailed knowledge of the NSW Public Health Act 2010, the Smoke Free Environment Act 2000, and the Public Health (Tobacco) Act and their associated Regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in and understanding of environmental health, including relevant public health legislation and assessment of environmental health risks.
- Good written and oral communication skills and competency in using the MS computer package (Word/Excel/Powerpoint).
- Ability to plan and complete tasks independently as well as to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current NSW Class C Drivers licence.
