About the role:

We’re seeking a hands-on Mechanic to take ownership of maintaining our fleet of both large and small plant equipment, including light trucks and utilities, tractors, mowers, sprayers, chainsaws, and more. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety – where no two days are the same, problem-solving, and working autonomously in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of plant machinery and vehicles

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs as required

Attend call-out servicing and breakdowns when needed

Conduct welding and fabrication on equipment and attachments

Maintain accurate service records and internal movement logs

Ensure safe work practices, complying with all company policies and procedures

Identify and immediately report any hazards, near misses, or incidents

About you

Experience with a wide range of plant and mechanical equipment

Trade qualification in mechanics (or equivalent)

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Welding/fabrication experience desirable

Ability to work independently with strong time management

Commitment to safety and attention to detail in record keeping

A proactive attitude and great communication skills

Current driver’s licence (MR or HR licence a bonus)
